Personally I believe that it should be mandatory, that one should first submit themselves to an Intelligence (IQ) Test, prior to being supplied connectivity to an established Internet connection; limiting the common frustrations of social skills –- alas, in a free world we cannot discriminate against others.  However, the Internet is dynamically changing how people choose to educate themselves; subject to only those who allow for this technological education. Thousands of years ago the Mayans built their own computer types, to some this group became the most influential group in ancient history; with their knowledge of the solar system, Earth, seasons, and calendar predictions of the end of the world in December of the year 2012 –- a prediction that has many individuals and scientists on their toes, looking for correlation for accuracy or determination of a myth. Drastically, computers have changed since the civilization that gave rise to curiosity; each single day terabytes of easily accessed information is being rapidly accessed at lighting speeds. As humanity what makes us smarter, during the informational age, is the ability and the desire to learn; a unique feature that most technology users have picked up in increased desires, with sites in existence such as Wikipedia. The age old question, does the Internet impact our intelligence; is still loosely defined.

Each individual is made up of eight unique forms of intelligence; verbal/linguistic, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, logical/mathematical, naturalistic, and visual/spatial -- each one of these eight forms of human intelligence is possessed more so than another in our brain make up, each drastically different — with a few overlaps. As a assumption created in 1983, Howard Gardner, created a theory of multiple intelligences; seen more vastly as the social aspect of the Internet turns into a global revolution. However, Mr. Gardner also denies the existence of intelligence, traditionally as we believe it to be; rather to him, intelligence was much more about ability –- in modern society computers and technological devices are at our will for ability, in completeness to the definition.

• Those dominate in naturalistic intelligence, are at greatly concerned with nature; also they are concerned with nurturing as they are more apt to be concerned with their surroundings. Technologically has gave these people hundreds of thousands of links to environmental awareness concepts, child rearing, scientific facts, earth data, information on natural reserves globally, wildlife, and more — increasing their intelligence.

• Those individuals dominate in musical intelligence; hold the ability that revolves around hearing music, as a rhythmic personal intelligence factor that gives forth the ability to play one or more musical instruments — or enjoy music. Today’s Internet generation creates abundance for this personal form of intelligence by linking to sites dominated by many knowing music and many others with the desired ability to play music; these sites provide tutorials, sheets of music for any instrument and song wanting to be played. Social media has also brought forth video sites, musical players, and customized web radio stations; as well as knowledge in lyrics and technological devices that makes it simplistic to download music and data in regards to that music.

• Those with the dominance of intrapersonal intelligence, possess self reflective feelings, desires, thoughts – these feelings, desires, and thoughts said to be coming from within ones soul or being. Those of this dominant class rely on thinking and reasoning; interpersonal intelligence, yields the examination of one’s honest thoughts leading to a greater desire communicate — sharing freely opinions, have mature debates, and creating interpersonal networks. A more personalized method of communication is the  conceptual idea that is now alive in the revolution of twenty-first social sites; with millions of devoted sites existing on the web such as Twitter, Friendfeed, Usenet, forums, message boards, newsgroups, chat rooms, and so forth. The Internet itself plays a major role in the interpersonal experience, as a globally interconnected network.

• For those dominate in the intelligence of visual/spatial, the ability to manipulate objects is acquired quite easy. These people strive as great mathematical problem solvers, architects, and builders. To them the Internet is allowing mathematical games, riddles, quizzes, question/answers, and software for those who work with their inquiring mind to build such as photo manipulation software, digital art production, and more.

• Dominance in Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence has to do with physiologically and the movement of the human body; these individuals may be body builders, dancers, soldiers, actors, surgeons, and doctors — but these hobbies and careers are far from the limitation. The Internet brings this people together in a social way, also providing information for their forte; such as medical journals or directions to dance and yoga studios –- also received, current information, on mobile devices such as the Iphone and GPS navigation systems, with a variety of sites similar to Yelp to help with reviews of business facilities.

• Verbal/linguistic’s are dominated by words and the spoken language, such as journalists, authors, freelancers, and poets. Individuals possessing this beautiful skill are virtuous in telling stories, writing news articles, giving written data in editorial forms, as well as memorizing statistics, dates, languages, and words. Strongly, with this dominance, a strong correlation is made with the traditional concept of intelligence factor –- one that includes both intelligence and ability. With the ability to think precisely, scientifically, mathematically; these individuals excel in these fields, with no problem. Computer programming and even web design includes this intelligence and knowledge; while many single and multiple player games exist online for the logical/mathematical intelligence — such as chess, minesweeper, solitaire, online poker, Mahjong, numeric puzzles, riddles, tests, Sudoku, and many more….

With the diversity of humanity, on the Internet, it is very possible for an individual to possess dominances in more than one of these eight intelligences; one, however, will always carry explicit dominance — of a higher test average. Tests such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Multiphasic Personality Inventory, and Socionics tell of both personality types and intelligence factors –- these professional tests are usually pay and taken in a educative setting, never will accredited tests be freely advaiable online –- nor will IQ testing. Psychologically and educationally these tests must be done in a work place or educational setting, for the best results; the test taker must be 100% honest for a valid result. It is the Internet and the revolution of social media that bring each of these eight types together; providing data, communication, established friendships, and continued learning — as a vast place of human personality and intelligence.
