Google: Fades Into Users Life With a New Redesign

The Google Corporation ends 2009 by maintaining its place within top headlines, rolling out a full operational release for its web browser Google Chrome while introducing its counterpart surprise; Google Chrome OS, an open source operating system — each described as lightweight, enhancing speed and functionality; giving users what they wish to achieve from programs of the sort.

Once again, on December 2, 2009, Google enters the headlines for its minimalist homepage redesign. Described as the “fade in effect”, this technique is often seen on Microsoft PowerPoint; from now on logging on to Google’s unique homepage revels a simplistic logo, search box, and accompanying buttons — slowly, as the page loads the basic navigation bar appears on the top, which can be obtained quicker with mouse point movement. Releasing Google from a cluttered homepage, studies made by the company reveal most of homepage traffic is derived by those wishing to search; thus this design is dedicated to them, peaking the curiosity of new found members when other page options fade into place.

Prior to Google’s newly animated homepage release, test were run in accordance with ten possible fade-in techniques; some resulting in the direct hindering of search engine use – other unsuccessful variations preformed at low standards or none at all. Targeting their objectives to get members and site visitors to their destination faster, Google selected its current fade in effect; with hopes in mind of creating new membership from a site that shows new-age innovation, as successful as their oversized search box released months ago.
