Holiday benevolence has been spread to over one million Google users, in a significant burst of invites to existing Google Wave users; the program initially created and released for developers still remains useable only by invitation. Feedback regarding Wave’s service was met with a high demand of requests for more than the allotted invites, in keeping with their image ‘something for everyone’ this demand was met without conflict on December 7, 2009.
With an extensive number of add-on extensions, Google wave remains a top aggregation product for the merger of electronic mail, wikis, instant message, and new-age social networking. Extensions, on a open source platform, can be installed to include language translations, weather, spelling/grammar checking, and so forth. Each user formerly had around 25 invitations that they were free to distribute to their network, allowing loyalists to bring in new Google users; easily.
This announcement has also come with Google’s unpretentious reporting that their Wave application has hit marks one million.
