Keep in mind that once transferred to an external hub, the existing files will continue to exist on the internal drive, as this is merely a copy of content function. Transferred files should always be ensured of their save externally, as corruptions can happen but are rare,  you will need to delete the internal duplicates to free space — which is indicative of clearing clutter and speeding up the system. In an effort of saving time, full files can be transferred; however, if you have 1,003 unfiled photos you do not need to manually transfer them one by one, highlight all files and drag them to the proper folder created within the external drive —transferring data requires a split screen view to function, one screen will have internal files as the other will house external information; creating a easy drag and drop function. Once transferred and cleaned off internal hard drive it is critically important to run system tools; including a ‘disk clean up’ and system ‘defrag‘  to notice a increase in speed with a reboot after completing all utility clean ups – registry cleaners, like System Mechanic, also need to run, again with a system reboot.  Second, modify all browser settings to store files on the external drive; this can be done in settings and include all browsers in use — this must be done for all programs that previously saved to the internal disk, such as music and video download hosts.

However, it should be noted “you get what you pay for” in technology and life; spend a few extra dollars for a better product to serve purpose. Prior to buying, also research extensively and read user reviews using your own disgressions; this also needs to be achieved prior to each purchase of any object,
